Gary Shaw, life coach and founder of Gary Shaw Life

A life less edited. A life that comes from you.

My coaching is for thoughtful, open-minded people whose lives look rich on paper but do not feel quite so rich within.

You may have learned to shape your dreams and choices around what feels safe, acceptable or expected. Over time, that adaptation can become so familiar that it is difficult to tell what genuinely belongs to you and what has been placed upon you.

You do not need to be improved into somebody else. My role is to help you see what is shaping your life, loosen what limits it and allow your next choices to come more fully from you.

You’ve noticed something feels off

A decision
you keep leaving unresolved.

A pattern
you know no longer serves you, but still repeat.

A life that works on paper
while your soul asks for something else.

Editing yourself can begin as intelligence. It can help you remain safe, accepted or successful. The difficulty begins when the edit outlives the need for it and quietly becomes your way of living.

My lived experience as a gay man shapes the freedom I protect in this work, but it does not limit who it is for. I welcome people of every sexuality and gender who connect with this approach.

Come as you are. Nothing has to be performed here.

The work

Face what is true.

Accept what is.

Move with what becomes clear.

We begin one layer before goals: seeing clearly how you arrived here, what continues to shape your choices and which desires genuinely belong to you.

Through close listening and direct questioning, I help you stay with what becomes visible, distinguish what comes from fear, habit, inherited beliefs or other people’s expectations and turn that clarity into honest movement.

Presence is not passivity. When you stop escaping what is, your next honest action becomes clearer.

This is life on your terms, unmistakably you.

What clients say

Me? Here’s how I got here.

I’m a qualified life coach, PGA Professional and founder of LGBT Golf, born and raised in the Irish Midlands and now based in London. I completed Kingstown College’s Advanced Diploma in Mental Health & Wellbeing Coaching with Distinction.

My route through coming out, business, golf and years of meditation may look unusual from the outside. From within, each chapter has led towards the same work: helping people see what shapes them, loosen what limits them and live less edited.

I believe much of what we call change is not improvement at all, but the freedom to become more fully expressed.
